Good giallo,
The story..A woman is a witness to a murder and then she too becomes a target of the killer. As more people are turning up dead it’s later discovered that all the victims had a connection with a court case from years earlier.
Don’t be put off by the awful front cover and chessy tag line as this is a fine example of the genre. I really liked the story and there were many twists and turns throughout as well as stylish direction. There is a good atmosphere and the film also contains a great deal of suspense and decent build up to the deaths. The killings are not that gory but there are a couple of bloody scenes and memorable deaths. This is definitely recommended to fans of giallo films.

Decent giallo.,
Released on VHS by Redemption in the 90’s as The Cats Victims, WMWIK is a decent effort, not among the best the genre has to offer but worth a look. It’s capably directed by Bido (who also directed the excellent The Bloodstained Shadow) and has a terrific score by the Trans Europa Express that sounds a lot like Goblin.
The DVD from Shameless has an ok 1.85:1 anamorphic transfer that at least looks better than the us dvd. However the orignal elements have deteriorated over the years due to the filmstock that was used, resulting in a less than perfect picture. The disc offers up some nice extras including an interesting interview with Antonio Bido, an introduction before the film from the director, a commentary fact track, alternate opening sequences, International trailers, picture gallery and trailers for goodies released so far by Shameless.

Disappointing,
I’m a fan of Argento and have a soft spot for 60s/70s italian movies, but found this to be a bit over-rated so felt I should offer my opinion. First the title has no bearing on the movie whatsoever, and even the alternate title remains unexplained – albeit prior to a couple of kills being made there is a brief glimpse of cat/fox eyes, but why this should be so and what relevance it has to the plot I don’t know. Also I found an awful lot of the movie is unnecessary dialogue and set pieces, which serve to lengthen the movie but don’t really contribute to the plot. Sadly the hero drives a ford, so no glimpses of exotic italian machinery other than a nice example of period alfa romeo which unfortunately gets trashed in a car park. The plot is finally nicely tied up and the end is satisfying, but there is very little blood or violence throughout the movie and the throat cuts are almost an afetrthought. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this – see Tenebrae or Deep Red by Argento for starters.
