This is a very fast memory card it’s definitely class 6 speed unlike some other branded named cards which say they are class 6 but write speeds are closer to class 4. I tested the speed by transferring a 1GB file to the memory card using the adaptor and the card reader in my laptop, and I was getting write speeds of over 6MB I think the fastest was something like 6.70MB per second!

I bought this for my Samsung i890 Omnia HD and I have to say that its fantastic it’s so fast when taking, saving and playing HD videos and there is no lag whatsoever I highly recommend this memory card trust me speed makes a hell of a lot of difference it might be more expensive than a class 4 card but at the end of the day your getting what you paid for you won’t regret this purchase.

An excellent compact electronic storage device, with the emphasis on compact. If you are not used to this size of memory card, then please be aware that these cards are seriously small (about the size of a small finger nail). This is no criticism, but rather a warning that they need careful handling and can be easily dropped. However, once installed (in my case in a small PDA, although I believe that they tend to be used in mobile phones) this is a cracking piece of kit. Because of their large memory capacity, I understand that these cards are recommended for more ‘high-end’ devices and that they may not be universally compatible. They have a fast read and write time and for me this card represents good value for money and I have been completely satisfied with my purchase.

I bought this Transcend card to replace the 4GB Class 2 card (SanDisk brand) that was in my Nexus One phone. This original card has a write speed in a card reader attached to my PC (rather than via the phone) of about 6.5MB/sec.

I also bought a card reader and adapter combo that came with a Kingston 4GB Class 4 card (it was about 6.50 GBP altogether). The Kingston card has a write speed of about 8.5MB/sec.

So one might expect the most expensive card, at 10 times the price of the 4GB Class 4, and a whole two classes up, to have an even faster write speed, right? Wrong. Write speed with this card is the slowest of the lot, barely creeping above 5.3MB/sec.

This card coped with HD footage from the VholdR (high definition 720p) Contour HD helmet camera for 8 days non stop. The footage produced on it is smooth and the quality spot on. Just watch the size though, these things are tiny and I managed to lose one somewhere in Africa so if you happen to find it, it is mine! Highly recommended!

A faultess product from Transcend. Speedy card, no problems with reliability or corruption, it has a good storage size and is just great for use in my mobile.

I’ve used Transcend cards in my cameras before and have had no problems with them, so this should be no different in the future.

And it’s great value, which is always a bonus!
