Being based in France and wholly dependent on the internet for many things, we needed a backup system in case the office machine fell over. The Toshiba Satellite has lived up to expectations. Delivery was prompt and in expensive and the machine required no specialist expertise to set it up and network it with our main PC beyond knowing the WEP key of our modem. The Windows 7 package is easy to understand and the additional Toshiba functions have enabled us to create backup and system restore files so that in the event disaster striking we can restore or rebuild it. Battery life is reasonable – about 2 1/2 hours of continuous use in balanced power mode before we have to plug it in again. It is also significantly faster and easier to use than our main XP based PC.

The laptop arrived safely and very promptly. My only negative thoughts are – it wasn’t sent ‘sign for’ which I was rather surprised at.
