I don’t see the point of releasing smeary, washed-out VHS recordings on DVD. What a disappointment. Stay away from this item – and probably from the whole collection – if you like crispy clear transfers.

Picture and sound is horrible. Not even like a VHS, but a copy of a copy of a VHS! This company, “Glass Key”, should after my opinion be avoided by any movie lover.

I thought Woman on the Run was bad quality – the picture and sound on this issue of Trapped is worse – I will not be returning to this DVD outfit for any later releases, there are VHS imports on the second hand market out there, that are far better quality.

After reading the reviews for this collection, but having already ordered my copy of Trapped, I was fearing the worst to be honest. Have to say though, that I was pleasantly surprised by the DVD I received. I thought the overall package was nice, from the sleeve – I like the movie poster theme – to the Main Menu, concise and simple. Then again, I like the minimalistic look/feel.
As for the quality of the film, mentioned in the other reviews, again I was surprised, thankfully. The print scratches are very evident in places, especially at the end of the `reels’ I’m guessing, but I think it gives the film an authentic feel. The film’s from the 1940s, it’s not a blockbuster, what do some people expect? After watching this film the only real gripe I have is with the lack of `extras’, again I take it that this is probably down to age? Funny to see a young and inexperienced Lloyd Bridges hamming it up for all he’s worth, though.
