Ever wanted to re-create the scene in ‘Big’ where Tom Hanks plays the giant floor piano with his feet? Surely it’s not just us? Well with our Giant Keyboard you can – it’s like the 80s never went away! We’re glad they did though… Still this huge pianoforte just has to be laid on the floor turned on and walked over to create a sound. No matter if you’re a novice of notes or a musical maestro (with your feet) you’ll be able to make music in no time at all. Because it’s a modern sort of keyboard it comes fully equipped with 8 different musical instrument sounds including standard piano saxophone violin and even vibraphone for fans of exploratory jazz… not sure there’ll be too many of you though. It’s also a great way to get younger folk interested in playing an instrument. Rather than having their fingers snapped with a ruler by a fusty old teacher each time their hands lose position (again just us?) why not let them dance about on the keyboard and create sounds for themselves? But why let the nippers have all the fun? If you’re of a certain age and Tom Hanks-loving persuasion then you can team up with a friend and play ‘Chopsticks’ until the cows come home (or the neighbours complain). You can record your efforts with the keyboard’s 80-note memory and then play them back or let the keyboard itself show you how it’s done by listening to one of the ten demo songs. It’s also a fine accompaniment (see what we did there?) to a good party – sort of like a mixture of karaoke and Twister of you like. Basically it’s an excuse to muck about with your mates or a great fun way to get your kids taking an interest in and learning about musical instruments. However you end up playing with it just make sure you move your feet to the beat!
Price : £ 36.99

Product Description
Meet Henry. If you don’t know him personally, you’ll most certainly have seen him around, most likely smiling proudly in the front window of Robert Dyas or some such sensible high street DIY chain. The classic Henry is usually red (although he has multicoloured siblings). He smirks chirpily. And has phenomenal capacity for all manner of rubbish. At gadgetshop HQ, we can’t get enough of him. And now, at last, this cheerful little vacuum cleaner beloved of builders all over the country is available for a new generation of mini builders and cleaners, in small (but perfectly formed) dimensions. Battery-powered, with a full set of accessories that pack away neatly inside, this mini-cleaner doesn’t just look the part, it’s actually designed to perform. The younger members of one’s household will take to it with aplomb. And now at last, one’s children can clear-up after themselves. Meaning an end to biscuit and crisp crumbs (in one’s dreams). Henry even comes with a simulated power cord that reels in by turning a handle, just like its bigger brother. Better still, at just 255mm tall (less than a standard ruler) it can even sit atop your desk in the office to suck-up all sorts of office detritus. With the possible exception of Terry from Accounts.
