Drive the sensational Honda Formula 4-stroke Series Raceboat – Formula 1 on the water! Powerboating has long been an elitest sport reserved for the super-rich. But not since the Honda Formula 4-Stroke Series ! In just 3 years this boat has grown from concept into the largest one-design power boat championship in the world. With additional safety features control equipment and the expert guidance of ex-Powerboat champions as your instructors you can be sure you are in safe hands. ; Location: Southampton Docks (South) ; Agenda: The experience will start with a safety briefing and introduction to the boat. Then you will enjoy enjoy a leisurely run up the river Itchen past Southampton Docks. From there the boat travels at high speed out into Southampton Water. ; Full training will be given by experienced offshore powerboat drivers (most of which are national or world offshore champions). ; Speeds up to 60mph ; Each driver has 20mins driving time ; 4 people in each boat plus the driver ; Runs all days of the week ; Notes: Approximately 1.5 hours will be spent on the water. The total duration of the experience is approx 2 hours participents will receive a presentation certificate at the end. ; Participants will have a chance to take full control of the boat if they wish. ; The Powerboat driving season runs from April-October. The boats depart from Southampton. Full location details will be given on booking. The minimum age is 16 and maximum weight is 16 stone. Pregnant or participants with serious back or heart trouble cannot take part. Please wear trainers or soft soled shoes and a waterproofs jacket.
