I was just browsing a gadget shop in town earlier and stumbled across this for £15. I thought to myself – this must just be for show, so I asked for a trial. It’s awesome! I picked it up straight away

The sound is spot-on. It also features two new sounds (one is like a dirty amplified organ, which is excellent) and vibrato for a very different sound. The unit is capable of very impressive volumes – you will be able to drown out all your inferior friends with this little badboy. (Also includes headphone socket in case you don’t want to lose your friends)

External input means you can plug in your MP3 player(/whatever) and jam along to your favourite tunes – the tuning knob on the back is so precise (and has a massive range) so you can really have a blast. And because it sounds so authentic, you could easily use this for recording purposes if the original Stylophone sound is what you are trying to capture

Most of all – experienced or not – this thing is just damn fun to use, and everyone you know will be jealous. Buy it now!

Our Grandson age 6 had excelled in his school work so we decided to buy him a gift to show how proud we were so we bought a Stylophone.I thought they were of the past but no we were delighted to see them on Amazon. We live in the N/east and he lives in Romsey so we don’t see him as often as we’d like but according to his dad he loves it.I can’t mark the durable section as he has’nt had it long enough to comment, but it is something very different and I’m delighted with the purchase. In future I will check Amazon first for ideas and good value.

Brought back memories to me. Bought for my son for Christmas (he is 13) … and it was a hit. Doesnt look any more hi-tech than it did back in the seventies, so a very charming little piece. Worth the money.

This may be classed as a toy, for which it serves its purpose, but also has a use as a serious musical instrument. I have been playing the piano for about 10 years, which made this very easy to pick up and play with some tunefullness instead of random sliding up and down the keyboard.

It also has the great feature of being tuneable. A litte stick sunk into the back can be turned to raise and lower the pitch, enough to allow tuning to the level of any musical instrument.

If taken a little seriously this can be a great way to introduce keyboarded instruments to childeren and adults alike although the tone is a little hard on the ears when played a huge amounts.

Overall this is certinally a good buy for anyone with a little musical skill or for one who would like to be able to play something.

I bought 2 (one in silver and one in white to stop arguments!) of these for my 10 year old twins. They are great fun and a must for all those musically minded children (and adults) out there! Very neat with lots of varied tones for experimenting with. Easy to take out on trips to keep minds busy while travelling or stuck indoors with all this rain we’ve been getting! Our children love them – even our 16 year old son plays on them when he can get his little sisters to let him have a go. A real blast from the past!
