Stacrash a very guilty pleasure,
 Â
I actually saw`this film at the cinema when it came out waaaay back in 1978/9 what i remember about it was the shockingly bad effects and the really funky acting!I also remember how much i enjoyed it too!I was just an impressionable 11 year old who was blown away by Star Wars and wanted to see every SF film that came out at the time.Looking at the trailer here it looks like its going to be as fun as i remember!!
Just as long as you take your brain out and take it for what it was a cheap italian SF film made with hardly any money but a lot of love!
Besides it has the beautiful Caroline Munroe in very fun outfits and the Hoff!!!!The score by James Bond composer John Barry is also worth a mention, a great lush orchestral score worthy of any of the Sf films that came out at the time.
So grab a few beers a very large pizza and some friends and have a giggle at this great little gem from the annals of SF films that rode on the back of Star Wars in the late 70’s.

The pinnacle of “So Bad It’s Good”….,
 Â
It’s about time this got a proper R2 release… It’s gotta be one of the ultimate guilty pleasures and is unquestionably one of the best “So Bad It’s Good” movies of all time…
Luigi Cozzi’s Star Wars rip off certainly lacks the special effects and cash soaked sets of the George Lucas film it immitates, but what it looses in acting, plot & dialogue, it more than makes up for in pure fun, laughs, charm & utter movie madness… Quite how the producers convinced John Barry to produce the excellent score is beyond me.
Caroline Munro isn’t too shabby either…
Get it today, grab several bottles of wine, transport yourself back to 1979 and smile all the way to the end credits…
10/10 – Unmissable

Intergalctic laugh-a-minute,
 Â
I think the reveiwer who gave it 1 star needs to lighten up a bit. Get your friends round and have a giggle. We used to rent the video and laugh all the way through each time. The kind of movie where you will find yourself rewinding screens and creating catch phrases you and your mates will use for years.
Yes the plot, acting and scenery is not blockbuster standard and then some. But this does have it’s genuine plus points. A strong cast including Bond girl Caroline Munro at her peak, a pre-Knight Rider Hoff and a John Barry score. I actually laughed more through this than i did at Spaceballs (the most famous and obvious Star Wars parody).
A welcome UK DVD release i say!
