I was blown away by the quality of the upscaling on this dvd player. great styling also.

nothing bad to report about it. menu system seems ok to me.

Really pleased with the picture and sound quality of this DVD player which was bought as a replacement for a Philips model. Yes, it took a bit longer to set-up but having done so you really can tell the difference in quality compared to a non-upscaling DVD player. It’s also great at playing audio CDs with sound output going via HDMI into a home cinema system.

The upscaling quality is fantastic and the unit is built and styled very well (as is synonymous with Sony). The only downside I would say is that when you try to change the settings (eg. audio outputs, video settings) the menu system is not the most intuitive and is also a little frustrating because you have to stop playback of the DVD. Aside from that, a fantastic product.
