The extension cord is a genuine Sony item. I have previously owned the exact same extension cord (it came with my Sony walkman) and many of the other extension cords I have tried have come nowhere near the quality I experienced with this Sony one.
The length of 1m is exactly the length I wanted as I found others uneccessarily long. I was looking for this exact extension cord and was pleasantly surprised to find it on Amazon after searching fruitlessly for it both on Amazon and elsewhere previously.
The cord itself is as pictured, with a single cord rather than a double as I have found with other cords and the jack plugs and cord are not bulky at all. Overall an excellent product which does not diminish sound quality and would definitely buy again.
The item was delivered very quickly, much quicker than expected and was delivered in good condition.

I rarely write reviews but this product deserves 5 stars.
It is a bit more expensive than the other extension cables but this one is worth it.
Not too long and not too short, the perfect lengt.
Also very light and you don’t really feel it is an extension
There is no quality loss and I would choose this product again and again if I was looking for a headphone extension wire.
The delivery was faster then expected, even though the weather condtions are horrible to deliver stuff.

Delivered not only quickly, but in excellent condition. Does not lower the sound quality at all. Very much recommended as a low cost, high quality extension cord for any pair of headphones. On a side note. This cable is very light and therefore does not cause your headphones to pull at your ears like so many other extension cords. A great Buy.

There was absolutely no drop in sound quality (probably thanks to the gold).
