The previous reviews seemed to be quite good for these earphones and the price was fantastic so I took a chance and ordered them. I decided to buy them as I really don’t get on with the normal in ear headphones (you know, the standard ones that come with all i-pods) they tend to hurt my ears after a while. So I wanted a pair that fitted in the ear a bit better – and they looked similar to the Bose in-ear headphones I had just bought my husband (they cost £80 however!).

As soon as I started listening to them I thought they sounded tinny and when I then listened to the same track on the aforementioned Bose headphones it confirmed my suspicions – they were rubbish. Not only that, the wire going to the left hand ear piece was twice the length as the wire going to the right hand ear piece.

Don’t buy them – save up and buy the Bose in ear-headphones – they are now firmly on my Amazon wish list.

Its amazing the amount of people that say you should replace the headphones that come with your mp3 player. I have a Samsung YP-Z5, which has amazing sound and it has to be said, amazing headphones. The only problem I have is that they keep falling out off my ear because they are not ‘in canal’ phones. So, I figured I would try and find something else.

I`ve tried just about everything. Sony, Sennheiser, Creative Labs, Maxell and NOTHING comes even close to the quality of the Samsung headphones. Especially these crappy Sennheiser, which are so tinny I threw them in the trash after 5mins. The bass response it rubbish and not even close to whats described in some reviews.

Think I`ll just stick with my Samsung. Moral of the story. Don`t take any notice of anyone who says you should replace the bog standard headphones. Its nonsense.

These are decent head-phones, but I’m sceptical about the so-called noise-isolating properties. I’m not sure if this is supposed to imply that it stops noise “leaking” from the head-phones, or prevent background noise intruding on your listening, because it didn’t seem to make much of a difference to either, compared to similarly styled head-phones.

That aside the sound from them is above average and with a choice of foam covers you’re bound to find one size that provides a snug fit. These foam covers are the same as used on previous Sennheiser ear-buds, in case you already have spares.

The eco-packaging is a bit of a joke. A cube of layered cardboard, about three and a half inches to the side, is not a anything-friendly way to package something, particularly as we’re expected to then store it in a flimsy case for the rest of it’s working life.

There are cheaper options out there, even from Sennheiser, that offer sound every bit as good.

I`ve regarded this brand as the top in earphones but was dissapointed with this product. Though I’ve read some bad reviews about the originial iPod earphones, it sounds much better than this one. They should have spend less in its fancy package and translate that saving in sound quality

These “ECO” headphones arrived in cardboard packaging with no nasty plastic to hack your way through to get in. So far so good. Sound quality was great, a bit boomy for some maybe but that is the way that I like it.

However three weeks in and the right ear bud broke. Fiddling with the connector got it to come on again, though intermittant. Seems the wires have come apart inside. Three weeks. Rubbish. They are in the post back to Amazon as I write this.
