Even though on the description page it says “Up to 30MB/s sequential read/write speeds”, the finer print within the product details says “Speed Rating: 20 MB/s (read) 20 MB/s (write)”. Just in case anyone is wondering, this IS NOT the 30 MB/s card.
I have two of them now and use them with my Nikon D90. I can get a lot of video recording out of them and the speeds seem to be able to cope well with the large amount of data recording.
Nice and reliable, good price and the small card reader comes in a small, zip-up, little pouch which is handy! Funnily enough, even though i have two of these, one came with a white usb card reader and the other one was black.
Nice card, price and works well.

Just bought this to complement my Nikon D90…. and I am very happy. Shooting RAW, it is super-fast, copes easily with 4.5 FPS and downloading to my PC is now a dream.
If you really do need a fast card…. trust me, you will not be disappointed.

I was looking at ordering this card for my Nikon D60 to increase the number of photo’s i could take and hopefully increase the rapid mode. I read all the reviews. Some saying they got the 30mb/s version and others saying they didn’t. I decided to take the plunge and placed my order. It came this morning from TradeportUK and it isn’t the 30mb/s version. It clearly says on the box 20mb/s.
It has obviously increased my picture capacity because my previous card was 4gb. However the cards are exactly the same speed. Im annoyed that Amazon can advertise the 30mb/s edition if they can’t GUARANTEE that is what you are going to get from their external traders.

SANDISK EXTREME lll SD 8GB
I really need to get this card, but two of your reviewers seem to disagree. Is this card the “30mb edition” card? The picture is not the 30mb edition, but Lucius says it is and Richard Stowey says it is not. I have written several Amazon suppliers asking about this and none of them wrote back. pls help, my d90 needs this card.
A recent note, Lucius was kind enough to inform me that this is indeed the “30 mbs edition” and it is clearly written on the package as well as the card.

I own a few of these cards (4GB version) now and they are great.
I wanted an 8GB version just in case I needed extra capacity for a wedding I’m shooting today. However, so far I have received two of the 20MB/s versions.
I ordered the first card over a week ago and when it arrived it was the 20MB/S version and fully boxed as such. I ordered it from Straight Trading, Inc. and the order was fulfilled by Amazon. There are two comments (including mine) on Straight Tradings Feedback regarding this and Amazon are taking responsibility for the wrong item being supplied. I was able to print a prepaid Amazon return slip and I’m taking the item to the post office to return today.
The second card was ordered as soon as I received the first card. I ordered it from memorycapital. It arrived today without any box or the the plastic card SD Cards normally come in (I can understand this was done to save postage but I think it should be specified on the listing). The card did not say it was 30MB/s version like previous ones and I’ve checked it against pictures on Sandisk site and it appears to be the 20MB/s version. I have contacted the seller and explained this and asked for a refund. I’m currently waiting for a response.
While previous comments have mentioned that it said 20MB/s on the technical information it now says 30MB/s on both the title and technical information. If you don’t get the item you ordered and paid I would recommend you return it or at least ask for a partial refund (I’m not sure how much the 20MB/S version normally costs)
