Seeing as Amazon (uninvited as far as I am able to determine) plonks its ‘daily deal page’ on my laptop about gadgets which I am always drawn to…my scrolling through incidentals on offer stopped at this high-gig accoutrement. Then, I thought…”I really don’t need a 16gig stick when, from previous Amazon buys I already have two 8gig sticks besides several lesser gigs and a pathetic meg one I don’t use now.”

I admit to plagiarising the term ‘lavalamp’ from another reviewer on the SanDisk forums, but if you’ve got a laptop, this usb drive will drive you insane with it’s intense orange flickering, flashing and ‘breathing’. Basically, below that white plastic tab, there’s an orange LED. It’s bright, really bright. In fact if you turn all the lights off, it lights up the whole room. So you’re there, working on your laptop, and this thing is constantly flashing, it never stops, and it’s so bright that you almost can’t see your laptop screen (slight exaggeration, but are you getting my point?) then it’s at the very least going to give you a headache.

Its an ok usb stick. Its small, light, it has got a small metal rod at the back underneath where you can attach a lanyard (not a key ring), it doesn’t come with case or anything. It feels a bit cheap and plasticky although the usb retracts with a nice click. Honestly though, someone came up with a quirky idea probably stolen form the nice breathing of a MacBook when it’s asleep, but implemented it with all the aplomb of a potato. Overall, sure it’s got a lot of space, read write speeds don’t seem to be blazingly fast though so I’m extremely disappointed in it.

this is a superb usb stick,and i was a bit dubious because of the low price.
