The Samsung WB500 takes very clear pictures in a wide range of light conditions. It starts at an excellent wide angle and zooms easily to a long telephoto – which the image stabilisation assists effectively. Although it takes time to become familiar with changing ISO and WB in the PROG mode, it is actually easy. As an alternative, the SCENE mode covers a remarkably varied range of situations in a point and shoot style and produces excellent pictures. Fits easily in the pocket but not so slight or light that it will jump out.

Very good photo quality, although in any other mode apart from auto it takes an age to actually take the picture, so the picture ends up blurry and its quite difficult to get a non blurred photo. annoying when you have a small baby to photograph! Annoying also is the flash setting default is on, so you have to turn it off everytime you power on.
