First Review, Oh Yeah!!,
 Â
As there are no reviews, I’m going to say how awesome this thing is.
**Before you purchase this item, I’d recommend getting a second battery for your GSII.**
Since I bought this, I always have a fully charged battery. As the charging cable which comes with the phone is not very long, I hate having to sit near a plug socket to use my phone whilst it’s charging. Now I have this I simply charge the spare battery, then switch them over whenever the other one is nearly dead. Granted I have to turn off my phone & start it up again, but the GSII does this fairly quickly. And once you’ve done it a few times, you’ll realise how convenient it is in comparison to holding a phone with a cable attached to it.
The bonus of course is that fact that it acts as a stand for the handset too, and it sits very comfortably in it too. Some battery stands actually have a charge port for the handset as well as the battery, but I like the fact there isn’t one of these as it means the phone can sit in it either portrait or landscape, so it’s ideal for using when watching youtube or iPlayer. I would say that if you have a case for the phone, it may not sit so well in the stand if the case is quite chunky. For this instance I’d recommend the official “Cool vent case” which I have also given a 5* review.
The stand is in sexy black colours & is small & light enough to carry around in a bag with the charging cable if you wish. As it has a lid on the battery compartment, it acts as a case to prevent damage to the spare battery & it is useful having a stand available for example on a train.
I love it, & it looks good on my desk next to my Walkman dock.

Brilliant Samsung Desktop Charger,
Hi there , i just wanted to write a quick review on this awesome little charger from samsung .
The desktop charger / stand is a genuine samsung item with a nice box and also a nice samsung logo etched into the charger .
Please note the item doesnt charge the phone itself but it charges 1x battery on its own and also acts as a desktop stand for your sgs2 , there are no docking options , it is just a battery charger and stand and a very good one too.
The charger has a red light to show when the battery is being charged and a green light to say when the battery is charged which is handy , the battery will stop being charged when it is full to protect the life of your battery which is common practice on chargers these days .
The charger has a door which closes over the battery to make evrything look very nice and tidy ie you cant see the battery while its charging as its hidden by a nice little door .
The best thing for me about this charger is it fits the genuine samsung 2000mah battery , this is because the battery has the same dimensions as the standard battery apart from being a bit fatter , this means that the 2000mah battery fits the desktop charger perfect apart from the door doesnt close fully on the desktop charger . The cahrger charges the 2000mah battery up to 100%.
If you own a sgs2 i would seriously buy 2x 2000mah samsung batterys and this little desktop charger have 1x 2000mah battery in your phone and 1x 2000mah battery charging in the desktop charger and never have to worry about your sgs2 battery again The sgs2 takes around 3 hours charge from empty so this is defo worth doing if your a power user and love using your sgs2
I will find it hard to upgrade my sgs2 now as i love not having to wait for my phone to charge while being connected to a wall and wire , i just power down , swap batterys and i have a fresh 2000mah battery fully charged and ready to go all thanks to this little desktop charger
well worth the money it costs for me and its also a genuine samsung item which is nice
5 stars from me thanks for reading

Does what is advertised – excellently.,
 Â
I recently purchased this to charge my new Anker 1900mAh battery for the Samsung Galaxy S II. This item is advertised as a stand and a battery charger but you should be aware it only charges the battery if it is out of the phone – perfect for a spare battery. This item will not charge the phone directly.
I was initially surprised by the quality of the item. It is of solid construction with high quality plastics that are nice to the touch. It holds the spare battery secure in a little compartment and even fits slightly bigger batteries (Anker 1900mAh battery for example). The compartment holds the battery securely even if it is thrown into a bag – you don’t have to remove the battery or worry about the door opening and getting broke off. The USB port at the back holds the USB wire in place so it can be moved around a desk without the wire falling out.
The stand holds the phone securely and the rubber feet at the bottom keep the charger stand firmly in place. I found this useful on my desk for a clock or for playing music from. The stand allows the phone to stand upright or on its side. The one thing I did notice is that the speaker sits on the plastic if it is standing upright – this muffles the sound slightly but this can be solved by standing it on its side.
There is no doubt about the quality and usefulness of this item however at ~£[] it is twice the price of an equivalent item made of cheaper materials and without the Samsung brand. The question is if this charger stand is worth the extra money over the others. For me, I was using it at work and preferred the extra quality as everyone could see it but if it is going to be tucked away at the side of your computer at home or at your bedside, you could save a few quid and get the same functionality elsewhere.
