This film is a classic, as it was Bing & Bob’s first “Road” picture in colour. Alas, this copy is
about a third or fourth generation copy. Anyone
thinking about buying this DVD from Orbit should
go elsewhere! Be warned!

I enjoy all of the road films and ‘Road to Bali’ in particular.
Sadly, this VHS release appears to have been copied from the worst print available. It would appear that the DVD copy is just as bad if not worse. It is a pity that the film appears to have been released by an independent rather than MCA who use to own the copyright to all of Bing Crosbys films

The Road to Bali is one of my favourite Bob Hope films. However, the producers of this DVD have ruined it with a very inferior product. This is the only one of the ‘Road’ movies to have been made in Technicolor, but in this copy the colours are extremely dark and very muddy. I gave up watching it after 20 minutes.

Fantastic film with the immortal Hope and Crosby- but awfull copy, very badly trasferred from a VHS.
Don’t be fooled like I was!

Another hilarious trip along the road this time takes our slick witted romeos’ to the South Seas for a thrill filled adventure that inevitably leads to much mayhem and romance. Bing and Bob’s troubles begin in Australia where it becomes necessary to beat a hasty retreat to avoid a shotgun wedding, but instead of fleeing to safety they plunge even deeper into trouble by taking employment as deep-sea divers for an evil prince, who needs them to dive for lost treasure in the oceans depths. It’s at this time they meet the lovely Princess Lala (Dorothy Lamour) whose charms prove irresistible to our two underwater hero’s but which one will surface nearest to lala’s affections?
Keep an eye out along the road for guest appearences from Bing’s brother Bob, Jane Russell and Humphrey bogart.
A trip well woth taking with a script full of quick wit and memorable songs that you wil remember long after the journey’s end. Well woth a watch !!
