How to use it : Before Proceeding, insert the plug into the camera’s remote control socket with the mark on plug facing the markon socket(if available) and turn the camera on. 1.0 The release button can be pressed half way or all the way. Pressing it halfwaty activates the auto focus and sets the shutter speed and aperture settings 2.0 Pressing it completely takes the pictures. 3.0 For long exposure or continuous shooting, press the release button completely and slide it in the direction of the arrow. This locks the button in the depressed button slide the button back to its orginal position. Package Includes: One Remote Control

I ordered this item for my Canon EOS 450D and it promptly arrived just 2 days after ordering. To be honest I didn’t expect much for the price, but I thought I would take the risk rather than pay £15+ for an official product.
I’m glad I did. This is a great piece of kit. Well made, light, easy to use, and for the price you can’t really argue. Works as I had hoped – press half way and the camera focuses, press fully and the camera takes the picture. Highly recommended for the casual/semi-pro photographer with a camera that this will fit.

I brought this for my Canon 450D and it works perfectly. Its simply a remote wired to the camera. Doesn’t require any batteries. Highly recommended for low light photography!

Just received it and it is just what I wanted. As others have said, it has the half-press capability which causes focus and exposure lock without taking the picture. Press all the way down for the final picture. This remote switch enables you to use a tripod and slow shutter speeds without touching the camera. Also useful for close macro work – such as transferring 35mm Transparencies (slides) to digital without all that messing about with scanners or paying someone (together with MACRO EXTENSION Full Set TUBES Fits CANON EOS SLR & DSLR,1Ds 5D 30D 40D,50D,450D 400D,350D to enable macro capability from any lens). Once you have everything set up, you don’t want it to move!

At this price I wasn’t really expecting too much. But I was really surprised, nicely made, great quality and works without batteries. I even accidently dropped it in a river while taking a photograph and it continues to work perfectly!
