Item arrived but in my opinion it was just too untidy. There is one external cable for reception (aerial) and another for Power. Being Powered by the cars 12v electrics, on my car, means that the car ignition has to be switched ON for the Cigarette Lighter Power. The car ignition ‘Auxiliary’ position will not provide Cigarette Lighter Power. Thus: Radio is fine when moving but when stationary with the Engine Off … no DAB Radio.
The battery compartment within the radio is for earphone use only. A Shame. I would have been happy if I could have used battery compartment power when stationary … I am an unfortunate male and at times prefer to wait in the comfort of my car for my female wife to finish shopping … and listen to the Radio … with the engine turned off.
Anyway, I was asked by Amazon for my Review and unfortunately it did not suit Bob Beaver of Northallerton.

The adhesive antenna was as good as useless for me. I tuned in but as soon as I moved the car the signal was lost. I invested in an exterior magnetic mount version which receives almost faultlessly but as with the rest of the Highway equipment it is not built to last. I have had several problems with the Highway gear, mostly build quality.

My original car kit suffered due extreme heat conditions. To have these extra items available (and not have to by a whole new radio) was extremely useful

With the extra car kit I have the advantage of being able to use my pure Dab radio in two vehicles and in both I have been able to install the kit unobtrusively. The kits are now a permanent feature in both Vehicles all that shows is the plug ends and the aerial which is alongside a pillar.

When you change your car, you will need to leave your existing Highway aerial in place as it is a one use application. However, all is not lost as you can order this extra kit which provides you with everything you need to get your Highway up and running in another car.
