This is an excellent digital photo frame at a very competitive price. It has several key advantage:

1. It is produced by a well know manufacturer.

2. It can be set to turn on and off at set times. Who wants a frame on all day or remember to turn it on and off.

3. In my view it produces excellent image quality and colour.

4. It also ‘auto orientates’ so turn the frame and the photo changes as well.

5. Finally, many frames are in a 16:9 layout but most cameras take 4:3 photos. Thus pictures are distorted to fit them. The Philips model is 4:3 making this change in image unnecessary.

Overall I’d highly recommend this.

Just received this as a late birthday present. Truely fantastic and completely agree with the first reviewer. This is just miles better than my previous one. The quality and ease of use are second to none. I particularly love all the little neat touches like being able to set it to come on at different times. The screen quality is also superb. If you’re looking for a photoframe (and i’ve owned a few in the past), I wouldn’t look at anything else.

We bought this frame for my parents for Christmas, but of course had to load on some pictures and “test” it before wrapping it up.

The picture quality seems excellent, with vibrant colours. 4:3 ratio means most shots fit perfectly. Good connectivity including plug and play with a memory stick. Plently of options including albums so you can display different sets of photos depending on your mood. Timer/Alarm etc. Great frame for the price.

It’s sleek.

It’s piano black.

I found it simple to use.

I can hold 500 fab photos.

It gives amazing pixel detail.

There are loads of whizzy effects to transform your photos into masterpieces.

It has a stand, to put it anywhere you like, safely.

It is great to reflect on old photos, you would’ve just left on your computer/mobile and forgotten about.

I say, hooray for this 7″ Philips Photo Frame!

I wanted this as a gift for my octagenarian parents, so needed a frame that would not be too difficult to set up and use. Sadly this frame is not it. It has a multitude of functions and lots of menus and sub menus to choose things from and navigate around, a mission not helped in my opinion by having the buttons all in a little cluster on the back, so you have to keep turning the screen round to locate the one you want. I returned it and instead ordered the less sophisticated but rather more intuitive Kodak one available on this site.
