Never owned a projector before, so I can’t really comment from a position of authority. I bought it because it was cheap and seemed to be a useful business projector that would do for occasional movie watching. It seems to fill both these categorie very well.
One note on movies though – if you move your eyes (e.g. looking at different parts of the projected image) you occasionally see a rainbow effect. This is far less noticeable on PC projections for some reason.
All in all though, for the money, it is excellent value.
