I got this because the remote for my DVD player is broken so I thought I’d replace it and my other remotes at the same time. Unfortunately despite whatever claims it may state on the packaging I can’t use it for my DVD player as the make/brand isn’t in the code list which means I can’t use it for the one reason I actually got it. Now it’s pretty much useless to me. Approach with caution.

I like this remote. I’ve wanted a universal remote for some time but didn’t want to pay a great deal for it. This remote is great value for money. It is easy to set up (I was amazed how easy). The only reason for not awarding 5 stars is the documentation; I didn’t find it particularly easy to follow (particularly the three multifunction buttons) and there are some functions that you have to figure out for yourself (e.g. that the red button acts as the text button). This is a minor irritation.

Ordered this remote as I have a 32″ Sony LCD & Humax Freeview PVR. Because the Humax doesn’t control my TV volume I was always having to use both remotes. So I started looking, good reviews for the Logitech Harmony remotes but at over £100 a little bit of overkill for me.
This remote is not listed as a top seller on Amazon, but it should be. Unpacked the remote, fitted 4 x AAA (not supplied) and away I went. Took about 2mins to setup to operate my TV, PVR and Audio system. To use the magic code is a simple process of three button presses, you only have to look for the manufacturers single digit code, then the remote does the rest. Very happy with the operation and I am only using half of the remotes available 6 control functions.
Overall a great universal remote control, good value, good build quality, easy to setup, perhaps the only slight negative is the layout of the numeric keys (could be a little higher up the remote), but a very slight fault when everything else is so good.

Hi, I bought this to combine my TV, Virgin Media and Blue ray remotes into one, that I could use and more importantly wouldn’t confuse the missus!
I am very impressed with it, it comes with a long list of codes for all devices, which mean’t it was up and running for all devices in about 2 minutes.
You can also Macro certain buttons, so with a touch of one button, it will turn on my TV and then turn on the Virgin, so i’m up and running with a touch of one button.
If you find a button that doesn’t do what you want it to do that the original remote does then it will also learn what to do, just point the remotes at eachother press a few buttons and away you go within seconds.
The build quality is good, and has a solid feel to it.
All in all i would recommend this to anyone that wants to control a few devices with 1 remote but doesn’t want an over confusing device.
