I purchased this for interviews – works fine and the sound quality is fantastic – what more needs to be said. The PC transfer works fine and no additional software is required.

I have had this voice recorder for a little over 6 months. It is very easy to use with outstanding recording quality. Combined with transcribe software like Dragon Naturally speaking it makes the need to type up notes child’s play. Easily over 6 hours recording time in high quality mode and the 2 AA batteries last along time as well. Whether recording long passages or just short notes this device never fails. One button record and folder options to keep recorded notes well organised.

Record a long text, plug into PC, let Dragon transcribe the recorded voice to a word doc or email, simple.

This pocket device saves me about 2 hours of typing a day.

Can highly recommend.

I havent used a DVR before. I use this to record lectures and seems to be working fine. not sure if 550pc would have been a more economical option?
