Noir Luxe Black Leather Premium Book Case for Apple iPhone 3G / 3GS Version
Simple to use and well made case which clicks shut on a magnetic catch which doesn’t seem to interfere with iPhone functionality. The iPhone screen is fully accessible however the case requires careful positioning to make sure the camera lens is not partially obscured. I’ve not given it 5* as after about a month of use the leather stretches and the phone become loose in the case (and can potentially fall out!). I’ve solved the problem with double sided Sellotape attached to the phone which secures it nicely but does mean the iPhone can’t be taken out of the case easily.

This is a fine luxury case, which has drawn comments about is looks and functionality from friends. While not the cheapest case on the market,it does not carry the foolish premium pricing of the trendy designer names. I am happy I paid the little extra as this case gives great protection, allows access to all functions with the iphone in the case and looks very stylish and professional.

As other reviewers have said of this and the “flip” version of the Noir Luxe case, its a lovely leather case which feels and looks like it is very good quality. The iPhone slips in the top and most things seem to line up well, although I found the volume up & silent buttons a little more difficult to access afterwards. No problems with the camera use. I bought this product because I needed to be able to attach it to a belt when I’m doing housework or gardening; I bought the “book” version (which folds along the long edge of the iPhone rather than the top) as I thought it seemed more natural both in the hand and when horizontal on the belt. There are 2 issues with this however – the belt clip does hold the iPhone out more than I would like and am used to from previous iPod products, but its not a big deal; more importantly, there isn’t anything to stop the iPhone popping out of the top of the case, I have already had the iPhone fall to the floor when my headphone cable got caught in something and it simply yanked the iPhone out (it doesn’t take too long for the case to loosen up around the phone.) You should just be aware of this and perhaps consider the similar “flip” version Luxury Black Leather Premium Flip Case for Apple iPhone ( 3G + 3GS Version ) over the “book” version, as it looks to have protection on all 4 sides (even if you may look like an extra from Star Trek).
Just a final note, I cannot detect any magnet in this product, the small flap simply folds inside a loop to secure the case, so I had no problems with the GPS/compass apps.

I don’t have an iPhone, but a sciphone i68 (iPhone clone). I was a little apprehensive about buying this product as several sciphone owners have said that hard iPhone cases won’t fit my model. This one does. I was very happy with it. It looks smart, and is very protective. I even managed to drop my sciphone twice within moments of placing it in the case, and not a mark to be found.
The reason I didn’t give it a 5/5, is that one of the supportive straps goes across my volume button. However, the sciphone volume button is larger than that of the iPhone, so real iPhone purchasers should not have a problem with this. To all sciphone owners, this little flap can easily be snipped off, and due to the excellent stitching, nothing unravels or falls apart. There is even space to pull out the
I’d recommend this case to anyone.
