We borrowed a Phillips DVD player (1 screen) from a friend and then subsequently bought this before Christmas for what I understand was about the same price (2 screens). We have used them on journeys from 45 mins to 4 hours and I cannot fault them. They come in their own carry case; are very easy to attach to the headrests with long, adjustable velcro straps; can be operated easily by our 5yr old and also from the front with a remote control; the volume is adequate even on a motorway; and they are very light. Much better than the Phillips system which opened like a laptop and had to hang between the seats. Perfect, would have no hesitation in recommending the Nextbase system.

So easy to set up, we have it mounted on a window mount attached to the sunroof so our son can sit happily in the middle carseat without kicking it and still see out of the front window…when we have more kids in the back we just put the other screen on the back of the relevent seat…we use it every day and the player starts playing where it finished the last time it was used, so no messing around..best dvd portable system i have had yet…quiet car journeys every time !!! buy it

I had been thinking about buying a twin DVD player for the car for sometime….but a long journey up to Scotland with two small, often arguing, children made up my mind.
The DVD players come in their own carry bag, complete with all the leads and very easy to attach velcro headrest straps…very compact, they even have a remote control with a battery. Super visual clarity. Really smooth design. The sound is not very loud (good thing whilst you are concentrating on driving) but very adequate and I would recomemnd a couple of pairs of foam headphones.
A six hour journey was turned into a dream…no fighting, only quietnes and calm. Not only were the DVDs indispensible in the car, but at night pop a story CD in and they send the kids off to sleep too. Well worth the money, I love them.

Bought this dvd player recently to replace a disastrous mistake of a Philips in car DVD player – honestly this Nextbase brand (which i had never heard of) is far superior, I am delighted with it. Very sturdy and steady way of securing it to the headrests and best of all its simple and easy to move from car to car. Love the fact that if you stop the engine, eg to fill with petrol, when you restart the car, the player goes back to where it left off. Compact and tidy little carry bag finishes it off nicely – a 5 star product that I am over the moon with

After reading all of other reviews, I just had to get this one and everyone was absolutely right; This player is fantastic. I have a lot of online movies so I wanted to make use of the USB by plugging my memory disc in. Just convert your movies to svcd’s and away you go! No need for loads of DVD’s. Put them all on the memory stick! They look very well made and someone has put a lot of thought into them. They fit on the seats perfectly and are very secure. I look forward to lots of long trips with silent children.
