I purchased this product because my Dell XPS M1530 was suspected of overheating. As a precaution I bought this cooling stand because of its reasonable price, its reclining feature and because it has 3 fans (whereas most have 1 or 2 at this price).
In terms of noise I haven’t found it to be annoying; it’s reasonably quiet and doesn’t distract me from my work. I like the reclining feature of the appliance; It is strong and easily adjusted.
It has 4 additional USB ports, which personally, I do not make much use of, but I’m sure it would come in handy for some people.
Overall, I think this product is a great first time buy. There is no real point in buying a hugely expensive laptop cooler because simple ones like these have very similar features. Visually, it looks professional and stylish. Soft pads on the base of the stand help prevent damage to your laptop as well.
Good, useful, excellently priced product.

ive seen this product sold by other dealers before and ive heard people saying that theyve had the thing for three days only for one or more of the fans to break. but i have to say ive had no such problems what so ever. the fans provide a nice cool breeze with minimal noise. the height adjustmant is also great and makes typing whilst lying down much easier. the only little quarms i might have with it is the cheap design/build. the wires on the underside aren’t really secured by anything just sitting in between little plastic rods. also there was a little plastic latch type thing which locked the top to the bottom when closed; it as far to rigid and made it hard to open. sufice to say it quickly snapped off, although i’m happier without it.
it isn’t perfect but it does exactly what it is designed to; you can buy dearer ones which are built slightly better but they are unlikely to be able to provide better cooling for your laptop. i would recomend it to anyone with laptop cooling problems.

I’ve just received mine and it didn’t have the mini usb cable to power it up.
Also, the technical details are not all correct. This pad doesn’t swivel and it shouldn’t be written in the product details.
It’s cheaply made but it’s a bargain for this low price.
I’ve contacted the customer service to send me a power cable and I’ll let you know when I try the pad under my core i7 laptop.

This was not any use on my lap top as it was not wide enough plus as the newer lap tops have a sloping front edge the front edge was not tall enough good idea bot not for my “acer”

I bought this cooler to replace a Belkin Lounge that conked out after only 7 months.
Actually I found the cooling tray idea really useful so we bought the My Link and the Logitech to compare (details on Logitech N100 page).
The My Link cooler…well, it’s only been a couple of days, but the 3 fans are really efficient and just the job for the 15.6 Acer.
But, good grief guys! Design?? You really could have done better. Obviously the tekky bits are efficient (the 3 fans and the 4 USB ports) but the design stinks. Whoever designed it should get a rocket. There are so many ways you could make what seems like a reasonable product even better. This looks like a kid’s cheap toy that we used to get from Hong Kong. Surely those days are over?
Apparently not. And there’s no excuse nowadays: there are so many good designers out there and manufacturing machinery that brilliantly moulds and finishes edges etc. The retaining bars at the front look and feel flimsy and aren;t really tall enough to retain the laptop securely, whilst the little struts that prop up the tray look like they’ll snap if you blow them! Plus they flap out of place so easily when you move the contraption. And should we be worried about the loose/uncovered wires underneath both sections?
But, the 3 fans are in just the right positions for the Acer and they do cool it down greatly. I wonder for how long though. Also, it’s quieter than the more expensive 1-fan Belkin which is a plus.
I’m going to write a little piece about the Logitech cooler on that page. It’ll be interesting to see which conks out first. Still, the main problem remains with the laptop manufacturers: it cannot be right to make millions of laptops that overheat and just expect consumers to buy add on kit – when the real issue is with their laptop design.
Two stars for 3 fans being in the right places.
