I, like another reviewer ordered this ahead of the arrival of the new kindle with the aim of providing protection at a reasonable cost. The cover is designed for the previous kindle and whilst it may have done a good job for that model it does not for the current. the pocket that retains the Kindle is to large so a danger of kindle falling out, the cut outs for page keys, and the key pad cut out are in the wrong place and are the wrong size. You cannot access power and volume switch with cover on
Do not purchase for new generation kindle models.

Unsuitable for a Kindle 2. The Kindle fits in it but is very loose and easily falls out. The volume and power buttons are inaccessible. The case is obviously designed for a different eReader. Look elsewhere.

This doesn’t fit my shiny new kindle at all. I ordered early so I’d have something straight away, and I’m SO disappointed. It doesn’t hold it snuggly, and you can’t access all the keyboard. This seems a basic requirement for a case to me. Please, don’t waste your money.

This cover great value – holds Kindle securely as fits tightly (when I dropped it upside down it only slid out a small amount) and comfortable to hold in one hand to read. Easier to read with it than without, as Kindle without cover too narrow and a little slippery. I was concerned the low price would mean low quality but I’m very happy with it. Only slight quibble is that the toggle button is just a little difficult to push right as the cover is quite close to the button, but since this costs a fraction of the other ones I’m not unhappy about this.
