I own a Nikon D300 with a 18-200mm zoom lens. This is quite a chunky camera and although I need a big bag for carrying extra lenses and speedlight etc if I am just going out for a walk somewhere where I want my camera with me then I don’t want to be carrying around any excess baggage. The Lowepro Topload zoom 1 is the perfect solution as it is exactly the right size for the camera with this lens attached but is not so big and bulky I feel encumbered. There is a reasonably roomy pouch at the front which will take spare batteries or filters plus a smaller one inside for extra memory cards & lens cloth. The bag is also well padded and durable so your camera remains safe. This really is an excellent buy.

I bought this bag to be able to carry my Nikon D80 with either my 18 – 55mm or 55 – 200mm lenses attached. It fits easily and you can arrange the interior to fit as you need, there would be only room for one lens. This is a bag that I can use to protect my camera in a day bag when I don’t need to carry lots of kit. It has a good front pocket that you could perhaps carry a flash in and has a well protected memory card pouch in the lid. It is well padded and has good protection at the lens end.A really good bag

This bag comfortably fits my Nikon D60 and kit lens with room to spare. It looks like it would take one of the bigger style DSLR bodies (D90, 50D) with ease also.

There are two padded supports that velcro in place to hold the camera flat in the bag. I’ve adjusted the one on the side of the shutter release so that it gives more room for the grip etc on that side of the camera. It’s a perfect fit now.

I got this one rather than the smaller mini zoom topload case as I want it to be able to take the camera body with a 55-200mm or 18-200mm lens attached and it looks like it will easily do so.

Used in light rain last week and the camera stayed dry. Also easy to take camera quickly out of the bag when photo opportunities arise.

I wanted something smaller/lighter than my normal rucksack for carrying my camera when on days out. I have a Nikon D80 with Nikon’s 18-200VR lense and it fits perfectly. The case is quite bulky (but necessary if you want your camera to be properly protected), so I personally don’t bother attaching this to my belt. The supplied shoulder strap is adjustable, and long enough to allow you to carry the case with the strap passed over your head, so it’s nice and secure. The bag is very well made, and has extra compartments inside and out (the outer one would probably fit a flashgun or an extra lense at a push, but of course you don’t then have the padded protection of the inner compartment).

LowePro have clearly thought this through, and one design feature I particularly like is the fact that the top opens outward (away from you) rather than inward, which means that it hangs neatly out of the way when you want to take your camera out or put it back. This is much better than other designs where invariably the top just gets in the way. It also means that the securing zips can be positioned to be between you and the bag when closed, which gives an added sense of security if you’re in a crowd. Top marks for this attention to detail.

So all in all I’m very pleased – just big enough to protect the camera and carry a few extra bits and peices, but not too big.

I needed a bag for my Canon 450d with 17-85 zoom lens.

Tried the Lowepro mini at first but it was just too small, so exchanged for this one. It fits perfectly length wise, but it is slightly too wide from front to back for my canon 450d – I am assuming that it is to allow fit with the battery grip (which I dont have yet) but it does comes with adjustable padding that velcroes where you want it so problem solved – brilliant!
