It does work, you do have to turn the volume on mp3 right up and stereo too, it is a little fiddly to find the right station but when you do it is good.

Plugged in the cables, put the transmitter in the socket. Hit the Auto-tune button on the transmitter and tuned the radio to the suggested frequency, and turned on the MP3 (a pacemaker). Bingo, worked like a charm, no static no problems it just worked first time! I seriously cannot find a flaw in this product.

Tried this today in my Lexus RX400 with Mark Levinson audio system – barely worked at all.

The manual is very uninformative and the scanning sytem seemed to be erratic, suggesting a different frequency each time and then refusing to store it most of the time.

With a Samsung YP player at 75% volume, when I finally got a signal it was barely audible.

The wired Sony cassette adaptor I’ve been using isn’t exactly hifi but is miles better than this.

Rubbish I’m afraid – it’s going back.

Bought this so I could listen to my mp3 player while taking a road trip in the states.

First off, the USB charging is brilliant, that works perfectly. And the FM transmitter does transmit, but it’s not particularly powerful, and America’s airwaves are kinda full, so it meant I could get it going on a signal for about 20 minutes before Garth Brooks would break through, and I’d have to start again. It wasn’t very good at automatically finding an empty frequency, was often easier doing it manually with the car radio, then setting the transmitter to that frequency.

Probably the best FM transmitter i’ve bought. The sound quality is very good with limited to no hiss whatsoever. Plus the cables are thick and durable which will prevent it breaking (a common problem). The autoseek feature is also added bonus. Great buy!
