I bought this but have regretted it hugely and it’s a waste of space as the stalk that supports the device (iphone 3G in my case) is not stable enough and won’t hold the iphone in position. Maybe it works better for lighter devices but for iphones…. forget it.

This is a great product. Simple to set up, install and use. I use it in my truct and car and means that I can have loads and loads of my tunes playing when I want tham. Best of all, this was half the price that others wanted to sell it to me for. Go get yourself one.

Bought this based on the first review, big mistake. You need to really push this device into the lighter socket and of course pull it out every time you get out of the car. The devise will stay on if left in the car, no on/off switch and even if engine off will still stay live. The iphone wont connect with the radio very well at all, spent hours trying to tune it and at best can only get a real poor sound. Also does not dis-connect when a call comes in. It does charge and goose neck can be adjusted but other than that a waste of money. So going in the bin and will look for a device that does the job properly. Trust me this item is really rubbish. Only gave it one star so i could write a review.

A must for all iPhone users, allows you to listen to your favourite music and make and receive calls (the unit automatically switches between the two) and a lot cheaper than a £60 fine!! Not tried it with an iPod yet, however I am sure some one will let us know how they get on. My advice, get one. Many thanks accessory-shop.

I have to disagree with the people who did not like this product.
If you have an iPhone GET IT!
It is so simple to install a cable in the top and a cable in the bottom, plug it into the socket, tune it into the car radio and “Bob’s your Uncle”. This works with music as well as video, you’re not limited.
This does turn off when you switch your engine off as long as the cigarette socket is not connected to a permanent live.
