Griffin iTrip Auto Universal Plus 6106-TRPUNPLS-2 FM transmitter and Car Charger
It does the job quite well, except when the music (or podcast in this case) volume is slightly low for about 10 seconds or so. I guess it’s trying to be clever and conserve power but its not being clever its being extremely irritating because it switches itself off and leaves you being blasted with white noise from the empty radio frequency. Its easy to switch back on but that is not the point. A complete design floor. seriously think about another product instead.

For me this has been a simple, yet high quality solution. Setup was:
- plug it into the cigarette socket and my mp3 player
- press the big round button which automatically finds the best frequencies
- tune my car stereo to this frequency
- sit back and enjoy surprisingly high quality sound!
I live in London to its ability to find the best frequency was particularly important. A few years ago I had one where you manually selected the frequency and it was time consuming and painful to try to find a goo frequency (think of repeating steps two and three above about twenty times or more!

If you don’t go anywhere without your mp3 player, the Griffin iTrip Auto Universal Plus is a convenient solution for your car trips. Although it’s difficult to find a free frequency in the city and the transmission quality depends on this, you will appreciate the fact that you don’t have to change your “jack-less” car stereo!
