Very good,
Was a bit worried about this after reading the other review but I think it is brilliant. Ok it doesnt have a split ring on the end to attach it to anything but other than that it is brilliant. I now use it more than my finger on my iPad

Excellent!!!,
This item is perfect for use on the iPhone, and iPad! I have used it for drawing, and jotting down notes and it makes the job so much easier!!
My other half has been using it to play games on her iPhone, and she says its improve the accuracy when playing point and click games.
Over all i think this is brilliant and it has so many uses on any iOS device. I suppose it would work well on other devices too.

Not quite a finger…,
 Â
Mimicing a finger it turns out is quite tricky.
This works – just about – but while a good deal less smudgy than a finger is not as consistent. Effective contact i.e. the stylus actually acting as a finger, is annoyingly inconsistent; if you lose concentration the contact breaks (i.e. a press does not register) and you find yourself dabbing ineffectually at the screen while nothing happens.
It is not so hopeless as to make it unusable but it is frustrating that it only makes contact about 9 times out of 10 and there is no discernible reason for the 10th failure. For this amount of money I kind of expect 99.999 reliability or at least as good as my pinky. There are a number of apps on the iPad now that would benefit from an accurate pointing device – some of the virtual desktop environments are very prone to fat finger issues and an accurate and reliable stylus would be a god send.
As for the product itself it is a small about 3/5 length of standard biro; seems well made. It has a squashy rubber tip that provides the writing nib – this is about the size of small finger pad and is more accurate than a fat index finger but is still relatively inaccurate. There is a lanyard hole on the top but there is no lanyard ring or loop supplied – which seems a bit odd – presumably you could wear it round your neck if you wanted using an ID lanyard.
Overall I think that this is no better than OK – for the money its probably a no and you should just clean your index finger!
