More drive space needed on my laptop and I could not be bothered to change the internal one and start installing the operating systam and programs again. So, lets try an external drive, I thought. I have bought Freecom before and was happy with the performance and Tech Support so I opted for this little mobile drive.
Once again I am impressed, it is not like others I looked at, this is much more sturdy as it is not built into a cheap plastic case. Connected it to the laptop an instantly gained 250GB of extra space (which can also be moved from PC to PC) without the need for the offered power supply.

Got this as a present for a friend who needed a portable off site backup solution. This drive is of the usual excellent quality of Freecom drives, small, light, works as it should. Only thing I would change would be tiny tiny led status light a little bit bigger or one power and one access light would be better.

I chose to upgrade my previous 80GB hard drive to this one. As i was pleased with my previous freecom hard drive (and like every1 i dropped it a couple of times) i chose to stick with them! this 250GB works fine, havent dropped it yet though! the password feature is useful but i havent got round to setting it up though

I wanted an easy to use external hard drive to back up my photographs, documents and music. I decided on the Freecom mobile drive because having read about it on the accompanying technical notes (which were very good and written in plain English), it seemed simple to install and use. And, at less than £50 delivered for 250GB of storage it was also very well priced too. It arrived very protectively packaged and only a few days after I ordered it. It was very simple to install, 10 minutes for a non-computer expert like myself. I haven’t activated the password protection option that came with the device but all the same this seems like a good option to have should you wish to use it. All in all I think it’s a superb bit of kit. No complaints whatsoever. If I ever have to buy another one, I would buy one of these again.
