Never used rechargeable batteries before. Mainly wanted to use with Wii remotes and remote controlled toys. I must say I am pleasantly surprised with them – I looked at cheaper units but decided that I would go with a known brand after reading the reviews.
It appears to charge quickly, 4 AA batteries within an hour (but not totally flat when started). They appear to last for about 4 to 5 hours (used in a remote controlled car and with the Wii) – which I suppose isn’t bad when you can just charge them again!
The light indicator on the unit is useful as it changes from red to green (when charged). The trickle charge function (keeps the batteries fully charged) is also a nice touch. It includes a car charger giving a bit more flexibility.
I am now going to buy some more AA and AAA rechargeable batteries (going for high rated mAh as apparently they last longer) as this has got to be a cheaper option than spending pounds on disposables which don’t last that long, especially when things get left on.

This product is very useful for people who are growing tired of replacing batteries for things such as wireless mice, which can get through them pretty quickly.
I have been told that rechargeable batteries can be pretty useless, but the ones included with this are 2100mAh meaning they can last for a long time. I have been using the batteries included with this for a few months quite regularly in my wireless mouse and have only had to do a few charges (3 at most).
The charge is as fast as it claims, having said that, you can quickly swap the other pair of batteries into the device while the ones you were using before are charging.
With a product like this from such a high quality brand like Energizer, you know you can’t go wrong (no I don’t work for them). At this price, there is no reason not to buy them if you get through a lot of AA batteries, as it will make up its price in batteries you would have had to buy.

These work a treat with my xbox.One charge can easily last between 6-8 hours.Cant believe i didnt buy these ages ago.they have probably already paid for themselves.

Bought these for use with my DSLR camera flashgun (SB800) which gets through batteries really quickly, so I’m used to using quite a few sets of rechargeables.
My (really) old chargers took hours to charge a set of batteries so I finally decided to get a new charger and went for this one which came with a set of decent power batteries..
The batteries supplied are 2100mAh NiMH but I found that the charger works just fine on my other non-Energizer batteries of lower strengths.
This charger does indeed charge up the batteries within an hour. I saw in some reviews claims that it charges 2 batteries in an hour and takes longer for 4 batteries but I found that the charger quickly charges all 4 batteries within 1hr.
I haven’t tried the in-car charger yet.
The charger itself doesn’t plug into the electricity socket but has a cable that attaches to the charger and at the other end of the cable is the plug. This is useful for plugging into hard to reach places.
It has a switch for you to specify whether you’re charging 2 or 4 batteries, and a light that goes green when the batteries are fully charged, although if you leave them in it claims to continue ‘trickle’ charging them. I have no idea what that means but assume that it prevents them slowly loosing their charge.
I’m used to rechargeable batteries not lasting very long on a flashgun, so I can’t comment on how long they last. I might try to keep count next time I use it and add a comment on the review.
The one fault I found is that the battery casing is not very strong at all.. I haven’t had them very long, a couple of months, and already the casings on the batteries have various cuts and peels on them. For this reason I have given this product a 4 star rating.

Delivery was surprisingly quick.
