Bought these for our kids to play with and they are brilliant – clear reception indoors and out, no background intereference and very easy to use. Range is apparently up to 7km in an open space although haven’t tested this. We had originally bought the National Geographic ones which were terrible – took them back the same day! These are well worth the extra fiver.

Bought these for my five year old’s birthday and she loves them. Both she and her seven year old sister have had hours of fun with them. Clear reception, easy to use and by far her favourite present. Excellent value too when compared to more expensive childrens character walkie talkies which can be very disappointing with poor reception. Use them in the garden, at the park – even on holiday!

Bought this as a gift for my niece, to communicate from her little garden house to the family home – no problems nor interference, worked well and was easy to use. Would recommend.

Got this to play with my younger brother but turned out 2 b a really good Family Toy. I use it to play with, use on walks (and evenn run a Cocktail bar).
Really, REALLY good buy, I recommend it!

We bought these for our 5 year old daughter on her birthday because they seemed to be more robust and had better reviews than the kiddie character ones. Overall, they are very good. The coverage is excellent unless you need to cover a much greater distance than 50 to 100 metres. Each radio requires 3 AAA batteries and they don’t last very long at all. The first set of batteries lasted less than 48 hours, so if you intend to use them a lot it could work out quite costly unless you have a charger and recharable batteries.
I would have expected with 8 channels to find one that isn’t already in use by somebody else locally, but unfortunately it doesn’t matter what channel we select, we always end up picking up somebody elses chatter…. and if we can hear them, the likelyhood is that they can hear us. I’m sure common sense should have told me this, but not everybody who uses these radios is an innocent five year old. We have on a few occasions picked up some appauling language that we would rather our children do not hear.
