I had previously ordered a Belkin car charger USB adaptor but found it to be too long to actually plug into the car charger. This one is good because it’s much shorter and will fit the more compact car cigarette lighter ports. It’s not a 100% perfect fit, sitting proud slightly, but I honestly don’t think there is a more compact adaptor and because of that I’m giving it 5 stars, afterall it’s doing what it’s supposed to do

This small charger fits perfectly in first generation Mercedes A-Class (W168). The design is tapered at the end so should fit most cars. Neat flip up handle makes it easy to remove. It is fairly flush fitting so does not interfere with the ashtray lid. Works well for charging ipods but I have not tried any other devices.

Great little gizmo, sits flush with dash and works for iPod, phone and tom tom, just want 1 with 2 or more USB ports now

I purchased this charger for my iPhone 3GS along with a NewerTech 3-in-1 cable which provides an apple dock connector at one end and splits into a USB connector and audio jack at the other. The charger sits permanently in the 12v socket in my car and I just plug in the USB cable when I need power. It works great with my iPhone, doesn’t take up any room when not in use – I wish all iPhone charging products were this good!

Bought two as I got tired at the big lumpy USB charger I had. Thought, I’d share my thoughts, as I am buying yet another two for the wifes car and the estate, as it has several power outlets.
The original two arrived quick and work a dream, on both of my cars.
The charger is very neat, as it hardly comes out of the cigarette-lighter socket. It is very easily removed, though, with the silver handle that folds up, even with the USB cable still in.
Works both on my IPOD and the GPS-navigator.
