- RC-5 Remote Control
Although this remote control unit has only one function, a delayed shutter release, it is simple and effective and is all you need for most situations.

I bought one of these (without full research I have to admit) and discovered the delay shutter “feature”. If the RC-5 had the option of instant shutter it would be perfect. Buy the RC-1 (if you can find it) or go for a cable release…

Used with Canon 350D – Surprised how easy it is to use. Just press easily located sensor activation button on back of camera, then pose yourself. Once the sensor is activated you can take as many photos as you like with remote control till you cancel sensor. Also useful for occasions when you might otherwise get camera shake or have to get into a difficult position to take photo.

This remote control works up to five metres from the camera, it is not well explained, but it does focus the camera, then takes the exposure, so that you can be in the group with your family, and not as usual, not seen on any photos. It came from Deluxe digital, which is in USA, but arrived seven days after placing the order, having been checked by customs
