This is a poorly designed case, It should be great but it fails epicly. It’s basically a knitted sock that should fit your Ixus camera, unfortunately it’s about two centimetres too short(for an ixus 960 IS), which means your camera pokes slightly out the top. Normally this would be no biggy, except some genius of industrial design decided it would be trendy to attach the strap to the case with an aluminum carabiner, this attaches inside of the case so the lovely sharp edges of the carabiner can scratch your lcd or lens(personal preference). I’ve removed the carabiner and just tied the cord to the case.
Ok, maybe this is a little picky for a freebie but it is a pretty shoddy design.

This is a neat, lightweight, drawstring purse for the protection of the rather cool Canon Digital Ixus – prevents day to day scratches and knocks that carrying in a bag or pocket would result in. The ideal accessory.

I would have given this no stars if I could. As soon as it arrived I would have returned it but it was part of a promotion and came free with the Canon IXUS 80. (Total price reduced by the cost of the sock) I have since ordered the DCC-60 leather case that I should have bought in the first place. Much better looking and practical. If you want to keep your camera in a sock you shouldn’t need to buy one.

Great for slipping into your pocket where a leather case would be too bulky. Works well, and looks like a quality made product.
The only problem is that there is a metal carabiner supplied that is used to attach the strap, and this metal carabiner easily scratches the camera (in my experience) and so I’ve ended up removing the strap entirely.
A recommended purchase.

This is ideal for my Canon Ixus 100IS. However I think this would have been even better without the metal clip (which I have removed) and instead to have had a hole in the bottom of the sock enabling the camera lanyard to pass through. When taking a shot the lanyard could be kept on the wrist and the sock slid down on to it and then easily replaced afterwards.
