Warning! This item is NOT leather. It is not even a good quality imitation plastic. It is very cheap looking. I ordered this item because of the number of five-star reviews. None of them mention this fact. The seller’s response is that you can’t expect leather for £6.90. My question is how can they be allowed to describe it as Leather then? Shouldn’t it be Leather look, or leather imitation? I shall be returning this item and won’t use London Magic Store again.

OK, I have not given this 5* only for the reason that this is not leather – not that for under £7 I’d be expecting leather, but it is a little misleading.
I am extremley satisfied with the case – It looks fine, certainly not cheap as some others have suggested. It feels good, and will obviously do what it is meant too – Protect the phone in what I would consider everyday, normal use – ie, in your bag, pocket etc.
The phone fits snugly into the cradle fitting (I have removed and replaced the phone several times and have experienced no problems/malfunctions) indeed, I can see no reason why if you have everything fitted in your Desire (sd card, battery) why you would need too keep taking it out of the case. All the buttons/camera lens, flash etc are all accessible if required.
The magnetic tab closer is fine, and easy to flip and open the front cover – Again there is no problem with making/receiving calls, sending texts as the touchscreen is fully accessible. I preferred not to attach the supplied screen protector but that is purely down to personal choice. There is no opening at the base of the case, so you do need to have the case open to charge the phone – Some may find this annoying, but I personally like it, due to the fact that there is no weakening of the hinge.
So in summary, if you want a nice, simple & cheap case for your Desire then this is for you. If you want a bespoke leather fashion statement to draw attention too your expensive phone when using it, head on over to the HTC Support site and you’ll find one for £56!

Disappointed that the plastic retainer broke while removing my HTC, thereafter it was not held firmly in place and rendered the case unusable.
Incorrectly advertised as leather, though would have been fine had it not broke.
Cheep product to be avoided if you want quality
