Bioshock 2 – Collectors Edition (PC DVD)
The original shocked the video gaming world by not only being a great first person shooter, but also an intelligent one. Now one of the greatest stories in interactive fiction is getting another chapter, with a sequel set ten years later.

Fantastic product, nice extras for true fans.,
This is a very well put together product, which has clearly had a good amount of thought put into it. I’ll start by discussing the extras included in the Collectors Edition. The vinyl soundtrack included is a must-have for any true fans of the first Bioshock. It has all the best music from the first game, and playing it on a gramophone provides that extra bit of gritty texture to the music, much like what we loved about Rapture. The art book is really nice, and would definitely be of interest to anyone out there who has an eye for art, especially prospective game designers, or even painters or model makers. The art on the posters is recognisable from the first game, but personally I wouldn’t have much use for them as it would be a bit sad for someone my age to put them up..
Now to move on to the game itself. I was quite skeptical when buying this game. Traditionally, sequels are generally poor and quickly thrown together, aiming to cash in on the success of the first title in the series. Bioshock 2, however, doesn’t fall into this tradition. The game is as immersive as ever, filled with beautiful artwork which extends beyond that of the first Bioshock. The storyline is superb, and the new game dynamics will keep players of the previous game entertained.
The multiplayer aspect of the game is… OK, but there are far better multiplayer games out there, and this is the reason why I couldn’t give the game 5 out of 5. Let’s be honest though – we all love Bioshock because of its singleplayer, so this isn’t really a big deal, and the inclusion of multiplayer does help add to the longevity of the game.
Simply put, I’d highly recommend the game. It does well to continue on from the first in the series, and I really can’t fault the single player. Multiplayer is a little bland, but perhaps some would enjoy it more than I do. If you’ve never played the first Bioshock, I’d definitely recommend playing it first as it will help immerse you in the storyline and will leave you itching to jump straight into Bioshock 2.

Bioshock 2 – an interesting story,
Bishock 1 is a game that I love and I was quite attached to the Big Daddy and his mission to protect the little sisters. The story was awesome, the weapons awesome, Rapture was awesome but the game was tooo short (maybe for my taste). Rapture was a very big city, I wanted to explore the whole city, maybe even go in the water and explore the surundings. In the new game you are the 1st Big Daddy (or one of them) the Alpha version. Thus you are now a true Big Daddy! You were in statis for 10 years in which well… Rapture changed a lot and not sure if in the good way. But you can fix that. Find your little sister, take care of her and kill who stands in your way, while in the same time, try to figure what happened during these 10 years. Find older enemies, older friends and new enemeies to fight. All with new weapons, new plasmids and new ideas Considering that you can use plasmids in the same time with the weapons, this makes you a nice killing machine Rapture has a lot of exploration area left to check, some of them are even better then the ones you’ve already explored in Bioshock 1 but some areas are very important to the story. I love the little sisters and I want to take care of them, as a Big Daddy this was the perfect role for me, and I wanna thank the Bioshock 1 and 2 producers for giving me that chance! I love the both games and I think both tell the same story but in diffrent ways and with diffrent heroes. Still Rapture has a lot of mysteries to solve and places to explore

Great successor, great edition,
 Â
I greatly enjoyed the game, it’s a worthy successor of Bioshock, but I won’t be commenting on the game, but on the Collectors Edition itself. It’s a great package and the contents are worth the price tag. The art book is a work of art itself, though a bit spooky to leave on your coffee table. Sadly, I don’t own a vinyl player anymore to enjoy the soundtrack which comes on a vinyl record. You get a couple of A3 posters which are rather low quality, plus you have to be under 16 to really place them anywhere Given the Bioshock 1 big daddy fiasco I think they’ve done a great job with this edition. Strongly recommended for all Bioshock fanboys(and girls) out there.
