Bless them, Behringer won’t win any awards when it comes to styling, but what these smallish powered speakers lack in visual appeal they really make up for in audio quality. Whilst it may be possible to get better sounding speakers at this size, there’s is no way you can do it at anything like the price here. The speakers are more than acceptable for audiophiles with the exception that they emit a very slight hiss which is audible when you are playing no music and listen carefully. At this price, however, such a small defect will not put you off, because what you do get is a well-balanced response across the frequency range, and suprising clarity and dynamic range for such small speakers. Expect none of the horrible artefacts from the front open-hole bass reflex that you get with ‘gaming’ or ‘computer’ speakers.

They are ‘plain’ speakers, with the emphasis on audio ‘honesty’ rather than effect. (i.e. they have no silly 3D enhancing circuitry.)

They perform very well when listening to eg. classical music up-close, but equally they could be used in a classroom or living room situation for playing multimedia from your laptop.

Whatsmore, they can be thrown around a bit: they are quite portable and rugged.

The master speaker has the power cable and the amplifier, and accepts a pair of phono connectors for audio, and the other has a single cable that connects it directly to the master.

I can’t recommend these enough when it comes to value for money.

These speakers, although not expensive, are extremely good. They are easy to set up and work great. Very loud when you want them to be, and only start rattling at extremely loud volumes. I’d definitely recommend these.

The speakers are small but can be very loud if you need them to! and without loosing on the sound quality! I bought them for my mixer as they have a built-in amplifier! Works perfectly well so far. Can’t say how durable they are cause I’ve only had it for a few days. Hopefully they will last:)

I purchased these speakers to complete my home studio setup this includes a Yamaha PSR E313 and a MM6 plus a Lexicon Omega Audio Interface linked to a fair Computer with Ableton Live 6 installed.

The Speakers are used directly connected to the MM6 or as Monitors on the OmegaLexicon Omega USB Audio Interface. The Omega allows the additional connection of the PSR E313 and/or a Guitar plus a Microphone In combination with the speakers acting as monitor speakers. With this I can get a full Audio picture. Also I can connect a Guitar via a rather old ZOOM 606 Guitar effects unit direct to the speakers without the need for an Amp. It is possible to connect three different inputs directly to the speakers for messing around before getting down to the serious recording bit. For example. MM6, Guitar, CD/Microphone. OK they are at the entry level price for this type of equipment but they suit my needs very well. Good frequency range and versatile. Very pleased with my Purchase

Good: Not what I would call hifi but certainly not bad!

Bad: A bit of mains hum and 7W standby power could be a bit better.

I am a very satisfied customer. As a small set of powered speakers they do the job.
