I just bought this new aluminium remote to use with my Macbook Pro Unibody and its really very nice. The remote is made from aluminium with black buttons that match the new Macbook Pro’s perfectly! It is extremely slim with curved edges, making it comfortable to hold. It is also quite a bit longer than the white remotes, about 40% I’d estimate.
Using it with the Macbook is very easy, pairing takes a few seconds and it has an excellent range and the keys are responsive. Now, the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the button wheel isn’t scrollable like an iPod click wheel. This would have been an excellent feature especially when browsing through long lists, but unfortunately it was not implemented. Other then that its an excellent remote which looks and feels very nice.
