There are a lot of different variations of this connector, which one you need will depend on mac model version. I believe this one is for the newest model, it is compatible with my macbook but not my older version imac. You will then need a separate DVI to HDMI cable to connect to your tv. Very annoying and very expensive to have to buy all these little parts separately!

Works very well with the MacBook Pro. Just connect and it quickly gets the additional monitor up and running.
Obviously, its the beauty of MAC OS, but still, this integrates well. Been using it for 4-5 months now, and works like a charm…
