It’s a shame this is part of a range called Basics. This case is a bit better than a bog standard one. Nice suede lining, snug fit, looks more expensive than it is. Not dying about the magnetic clip, it can be a bit fiddly and you wonder about how secure a fastener it really is (and will be as time passes). Shame there isn’t a wee pocket for extra card or battery. But very good value nonetheless.

This is quite a nice little case. Well made and finished, and my Nikon Coolpix L22 fits just perfectly into it – providing I don’t use the internal slot for a spare memory card.
It has a nice smooth leather finish, complete with simple magnetic ‘pip’ fastener, which is strong enough to grip even if you don’t get the pip lined up exactly.
It has a velcro belt loop fastening, which I haven’t used as yet, but it looks pretty sturdy.
For less than a tenner I don’t see how you could do much better – but do make sure you measure your camera to make sure it fits before you order.

This is a well made, if rather basic, leather case with a suede lining and a small pocket for memory cards. There is also a velcro belt loop, but, to be honest, I’m not sure if I would trust my rather modest camera to a strip of velcro.
My camera is a Kodak M863, and it fits the case perfectly, so add that one to the list in the description.

This is a lovely basic case for a small camera. I always carry my little travel digicam (not a canon) with me in my handbag. It didn’t come with a case and I’ve been improvising with a make up purse until now. This little leather case from Amazon basics superbly fits the bill for my needs – something to protect my camera in my day bag. It looks good. It has a nice soft lining and a slot for a spare memory card. I’m not going to use the velcro belt clip, but it’s a handy extra. What it doesn’t have is the extra pockets and store-away places for batteries, leads etc, but that’s not what this product is about and not how I’m judging it. As a stylish little protector case it’s great. 5 stars from me.

The case matches the Amazon product description reasonably well. The internal measurements on my sample are actually slightly more than the 56mm x 19.4mm x 89mm listed, and it will exactly accommodate a block 60mm x 20mm x 95mm.
It is a comfortable snug fit for my Kodak M530 Camera which is 57mm x 22mm x 94mm but with rounded corners. The exposed end of the camera allows it to be easily removed from the case, but this also means that it is not protected from inclement weather or dust.
The belt loop is well made and robust with lots of tough Velcro securely stitched on.
The magnetic catch on the cover flap is effective, but locating the centre pip for best grip is not brilliant. It could be better. I would have preferred Velcro.
There is also a tight little pocket inside to store a single spare SD card. However, I don’t expect to use it because I always keep spare cards separate to the camera – eggs in multiple baskets philosophy. Also the pocket surface and its stitching, both in contact with the camera, are not the nice soft brushed leather like the rest of the case lining, and I worry about scratching the LCD if I put the camera in the wrong way round.
This is a simple generic case and it fits my M530 camera reasonably well, but it could be improved. See another example in the similar style Fuji F30 leather case which is better made of softer leather, yet offers much more protection for the F30 camera.
