More than 8 hours battery life (All Day Computing), ultra-light weight and sophisticated design, all at the right price. This is the Aspire Timeline. With the Aspire Timeline series, Acer has taken a big, if not the biggest step forward in the concept of mobility, an area where finding the perfect equilibrium between light weight and autonomy has always been the number one priority. Laptop arrived a few days ago and already im impressed. The plastic casing isnt the usual cheap grey plastic job but more of a metallic feel to it. its very light and thin. The one immediate point i noticed right out the box is that the touch pad doesnt have the annoying jumping problem that my previous Acer had. the keyboard is the separate key variety, kind of soft sprung mount, very light and easy to type. 8 hour battery life is great, ive ran it on battery to test and did get 8 hours plus before i had to plug it in to install software.
the laptop is responsive and quick enough at start up. i havnt used the webcam other than to check it works but the quality is better than my £200+ more expensive HP.
overall, i think its a great little laptop for the £379 price tag. its a 3gb, but that can be upgraded with 2x2gb sticks eventually if you want and the 250gb drive is fine for a surfing, email and basic user laptop.
get one, you wont be disappointed.

Having looked around for a replacement for my Sony Vaio, I eventually decided on an Acer as I already owned an Acer Desktop and it has been trouble- free over the years. This laptop arrived quickly and I was impressed with the slender profile. Its also very light and the battery life has been excellent and makes a change to not have to keep looking for a plug socket. The performance is great and the wireless connection has been excellent with no loss of signal or interuption. The keyborad is a little hard compared to what I was used to but not a major issue. Overall a very impreesive laptop for the price. Its also very quiet in operation which again is in stark contract to the old Vaio I was using. Would definitely recommend.

I purchased this laptop for my daughter to take to Uni, she has found it very easy to use, and it does exactly what it says it does, she is over the moon with it.

Very pleased with the purchase, Long battery life which was something I wanted, also Windows Home Premium 7. Could have done with a better manual but everything works. Wireless setup was painless, the screen is very good, worth the money and arrived on the day it was supposed to. Pleased to recommend it.
