I just received this little USB charger plug today. I chose this after some searching on the market, because I wanted a small plug, so that I didn’t have to take it out in order to close the ash tray.
This is a perfect match for my VW Lupo 3L. It fits perfectly, and there is no doubt there is perfect electrical contact. The adapter also appears to be quite energy-efficient. Contrary to most of my other original phone chargers, this does not get warm at all, despite being able to deliver 1A at 5V USB power.
As other points out, the LED is green, not blue, as indicated in the picture.

Bought this little adapter for my iPhone and iPod on the move in my car on a recommendation from a friend.
It is discrete in the socket and works 100% in the family Zafira and Focus with no issues.
The light is green not blue as in the picture, not that it matters!!

This works well enough but does not fit the socket of some cars like eg Citroen C4 and derivatives

My husband and I both have mobiles with usb chargers therefore by buying this gadget it means we did not need to buy seperate in car chargers which would have cost £20 each. This also enables us to charge up our cameras and camcorder. Very handy!

Bought this for my BMW 1 Series and was annoyed at first it didn’t fit. It kept springing out without locking in. I tried it on the missus’s RAV-4 and it worked fine. I went back to my car and put the charger in rotating it 90 degress and heh presto it worked perfect. I don’t know about all cars but on my BMW if you look in the cigarette lighter socket you can see there are two additional spring clips that look like they are designed to accomodate chargers that the other two don’t, located at 90 degrees to the others at a different depth, therefore catering for both types of charger/adapter. Brilliant product and very cheap!!
