I bought these as they were cheap but had a name against them, whar a bad idea.
The sound is not bass enough for me, and when there are quiet bits in a track you can hear the cable move. Not too sure how to explain this really but if you have some just get hold of the cable and waggle it you will see what I mean, as they are earphone they can not be used then taken back to the shop, so these are going in the bin.

These are terrible headphones for sport. I was debating for ages whether to buy hook-over headphones and I was hoping that these would stay on well but they are far too big and fell out after about 100m of running. The sound quality is fine but that is no use if they wont stay on my ears!

These are to be a replacement for my “JVC HA-E130″ headphones. Much to my disappointment, after almost 2 years, the E130 cable was loose in the left ear. I liked them so much, I thought I’d move up the range in the same brand…
The E170 headphones really do look appealing. Fiddly to put on at first, I found them rather comfortable. I had been using these all day without having to re-adjust them “much”. At low or mid volume levels, they demonstrated a very good crystal clear sound. For casual listening while walking or jogging now and then, these should do the job.
I enjoy my bass and pretty high volumes. My past E130 Clip-On’s didn’t disappoint, but in this department, this EB70 did. They distort too much. With that said, I can hear the bass very well if I push the headphones deep into my ear, but that isn’t good enough! You can’t expect me to walk around with my hands over my ears. Worse still, if I turn the headphones at two thirds of the way on my YP-Q1, I can hear the left ear rattling rather badly.
It’s probably not fair to have expectations to that of the E130. Regardless, I did because they were great, JVC, and these actually costed me more.
These headphones aren’t completely terrible. They just aren’t that much of a great bargain for me. I’d recommend you look elsewhere if bass and loud volume quality matters as much to you as it does to me.
