This is not the first time I’ve bought this product and as yet I’ve not had need to use the item as a replacement, its there for when the current one falls apart, and it will soon!!!!!! However what I can say is that the Amazon service is 1st class.
My only complaint is not with Amazon but with manufacturers as, I know from my previous two experiences, there is a weakness in the cable where the adapter connects with laptop, it bends and breaks far too easily.
Amazon on the other hand do what they say.

Having been a Mac user for 20 years I’m used to paying ‘top dollar’ for Apple products so I was impressed by the the quality of the genuine Apple product with orange/green neon indicator lights on the input plug, an excellent price and a speedy delivery (ordered Saturday night – delivered Tuesday morning!) There were some slightly cheaper 3rd party products but reading other peoples reviews of these products reinforced my decision to stick with Apple.

I ordered this from Power Parts on a Friday, and it was delivered on the Saturday using their standard ‘free’ postage – no need to pay extra for next-day. It looks absolutely genuine and was properly sealed, brand new, and works a treat. Very good value indeed compared to buying direct from Apple. There are a number of different suppliers offering what appears to be the same product, and not all suppliers will be as good, but I was very pleased with speed & quality from Power Parts and will certainly use them again.

Just received this charger to replace my 5yr old apple powerbook charger which broke at the connection end. I was worried about purchasing at first because of the mixed reviews, and also the price being so much cheaper than an apple replacement. However, I am SOOOO glad i bought this charger, It is a near match for my original. complete with colour changing LED on connector to show charge status. You would find it very difficult to tell it apart from an original.
Excellent fast delivery (less than 2 days!) and so far so good, its working perfectly.. well worth the money!! If in doubt, BUY IT NOW!

The rating is a reflection on the product rather than the service – it arrived in good time, but if it was an Apple part it must surely have been a reject!
First, the power cable was not one that fitted the adapter, just a cable for an old standard audio product – the type I already have dozens of cluttering up the place! I ignored this drawback, as I had a spare lead to fit the adapter, but it could have been a major problem as I’d required the product to use with some urgency.
Then, I noticed the input connection to the laptop fitted together badly, popping out of its white cover. When I looked more closely I saw there were cracks along the casing, worsening as I tried to fit the pieces back together – it obviously wasn’t big enough to fit the input element properly. Within days it started falling apart and became impossible to hold together in one piece – it is now sellotaped up and working much to the temperamental standard of the one I replaced!
