A VGA cable can be used to transfer the video signal from an output source such as a Laptop to an LCD screen. Remember that VGA cables only transfer the video signal, not the audio signal as well.

Your TV needs a vga female socket for this to work – it may be labelled “PC” or “D-sub”. You have to configure the TV to accept input from this socket. On the laptop you similarly need a vga female socket and the video card must support an external monitor. This cable, when configured at both ends, enable you to view your laptops screen on your TV and use the mouse and keyboard on the laptop to control the image on the TV Screen. So you can play DVDs and use BBC Iplayer on the TV. BUT the cable does not support SOUND on the TV – you can hear the sound through the laptop by using the built in speaker or headphones.

Yes the 5 meter VGA cable is working well and delivered pretty quickly, nice to connect to the TV with the laptop while in my chair watching any old programes on youtube or BBC Internet players with guest coming round.

The VGA cable that I ordered on 12th March 2010 Order number (026-7516455-8994716) Reference number 151569 did not
work. I sent it back to TradePriceinks. Three weeks later, I have heard nothing.
This is a company to stay away from.

For a cable this length, the price is very good. The quality isn’t great though and I do experience a bit of flicker on the screen. Other than that, no problems getting it to display on a HD TV.

I bought this cable to connect the laptop screen to my LCD TV. My TV had a VGA connection and PC mode. Everything works very well. 5m length was really useful. I used the free super saver delivery. Got the cable in 4 days from ordering.Compared with the other expensive brands this is a good value for money. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a VGA cable.
